Summer has officially started, and things are opening up here in California so I am ready for casual summer looks. I took our family out this week to a restaurant for the first time in a while and it was fantastic, and I enjoyed every minute of it. We were supposed to be in Europe and then Florida this summer but plans changed and we will be finding some local vacations this summer. We packed up this past week and headed to Tahoe to get in some outdoor fun and it has been just perfect. We have had some nice family time and lots of outdoor adventures. Today, we are heading out for a long bike ride and a trip to the Lake. Do you have any trips planned this summer? Even if it is just a close get away?
This week I thought I would post a few casual summer looks that I have been loving this season. They are mindful of body types and are perfect for working at home or running out. I am hoping next week I can hit the mall for some new cute outfits to share with you. The pictures are not great, but I hope you still enjoy.
Casual Summer Looks: #1
This first look, I posted a few weeks back but I continue to wear this Gibsonlook convertible wrap cardigan. It is so so comfortable and you can throw it over a tank top or t-shirt when it gets a bit cooler out. It is perfect for my casual summer looks list. This one is becoming my favorite. I paired it here with skinny Banana Republic Jeans, that are perfect for summer since they are cropped. They fit nice and snug and I would say if you are in between sizes to size up.
Casual Summer Looks: #2
The next on my casual summer looks is the Gibson convertible cardigan in black. This cardigan is irresistible. I wore it over a cute little white lace blouse (below) to friends house for a BBQ. I loved how it was light weight but kept my outfit pulled together. These are Madewell boyfriend jeans, as you can tell I have had a while. I think it might be time for a new pair but I can’t part with them just yet. Does anyone else keep their favorite jeans until they are worn out? The wedges are very comfortable and from JCrew Factory Store. They are a great neutral that pairs with everything.
Casual Summer Looks: #3
This on my casual summer looks list is a favorite of mine, for some reason I have always loved lace. Lace is one of those things that can look too conservative easily so I like to pair it with denim or black motorcycle leather jacket or both! This top is from Express and it looks great dressed up for work or dressed down for an evening out. These are the same jeans and shoes from above.
Casual Summer Looks: #4
Oh my gosh, this photo. I have some look of shock on my face or something. Anyway this outfit is so comfortable and it is from Target. I had headed there to grab some household items and walked out with this. I got so many compliments that I went out and bought another pair of pants in white and the top in maroon. These loose flowy pants are great when it is warmer out and will go with a ton of different tops. I think they will even be great for travel, think comfort of sweats but more pulled together.
Casual Summer Looks: #5
This final outfit is another favorite. I love the feminine feel of the tank top with of course, my favorite, jeans. This tank can take me from casual to dressy just by adding a blazer and heels. I often pair this tank with a cardigan that is just one shade darker and it looks so cute. These jeans are the Madewell Straight leg jeans from above.
That’s it for my earlier summer ensembles. I hope to be sharing some cute dresses for the warmer weather in the weeks to come. For now, have a great weekend.
